Since I last wrote two weeks ago, the signs of Spring have truly sprung. The closer I pay attention to the changes, shifts, and energy patterns of this time of year, I realize how appropriately named Spring is. Spring was once known as lent, or lenten season, meaning to make longer or greater in length. Quite fitting, as this time of year is marked by lengthening hours of daylight. Down the road, the name changed to a version of what we know today as Spring. It stems from an old English word, springan, which means to burst forth. And if you pay close attention to the subtleties of Spring, bursting forth is exactly the action of this season.
